One of the primary services that we offer is our medical courier service. In fact, it is all that we did when we first started out, way back in 2012. You could say that medical courier services, are the very reason for our existence! This post tells a little bit about our history, as well as highlighting our current services. We hope you enjoy it.
In the cold and wet December days (there is a lyric there) of 2012, we used to move pharmaceutical products from Deeside to Heathrow every day. It is hard to believe now as he sits in his ivory tower, but Kelvin used to drive the van himself. Good old BD59 MYP, a Ford Transit. Many miles were driven along the M6 and M40, as the rise of CK was plotted. In the spring of 2013, we expanded our fleet to two vehicles and started to make sample collections from local hospitals. This is when Michelle came on board to join Clint and Kelvin. We would collect and package dry ice samples on site and they too would be shipped immediately down to Heathrow. Michelle would sometimes meet famous athletes, as we started to move drug testing samples around the country as our portfolio increased. It was hard work, but it laid the foundations for the business that we are today.
In those days, we worked on behalf of a third party, larger courier company. As an ambitious new business, we quickly outgrew them (became too expensive) and went our separate ways. So basically, we cut our teeth on providing medical courier services. We still do many of those same things today.
Our medical services are door to door and we are an approved supplier of both St.Helens and Knowsley and Merseycare NHS trusts. We move many things around for both trusts, including: pathology samples, medical equipment and sensitive documents. Our services include the following:
Supply of dry ice and packing of samples
Pathology sample delivery
Consignee only and timed deliveries/collections
Medical equipment and machinery movement
Pharmaceutical and controlled substance delivery
DBS checked and ADR trained drivers
