Customer Case Study: The Sovini Group
Updated: Feb 14
It has been a while since we have posted a new case study, so this post is long overdue! A few weeks ago we were contacted by The Sovini Group in Bootle, who were looking to deliver a small goody bag to each of their employees in the area. Around 760 goody bags (see image below). These bags contained a number of treats and some Halloween games (Scarevini Games) that Sovini were looking to play with each of their staff. A novel idea and a great way to reach out and keep employees connected through the current pandemic and work from home culture.
The deliveries were to be made in the following towns around the north west: Liverpool, Skelmersdale, St.Helens, Widnes, Warrington, Southport, Ormskirk, Chorley, Preston, Blackpool, Blackburn, Burnley, Colne, Bury, Altrincham, Northwich, Alsager, Wrexham, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Bromborough, West Kirkby, Wallasey and Birkenhead. A massive area and a huge undertaking for us. The deliveries obviously had to be routed for efficiency, as well as be delivered. We had never routed such a large number of deliveries in such a small window before.
We delivered all of the goody bags directly, using our own fleet and we stored them securely at our own unit. Each one was hand delivered to the employees home address and no parcel carrier system was used. This ensured all of the goody bags arrived safely and in good order, just as they had left Sovini's offices. It was an all hands to the pump exercise, with even Michelle and Kelvin out delivering the bags. The job served as a useful and challenging team building exercise for us.
Upon the successful completion of the project, Kayleigh Aston from Sovini had this to say:
CK Couriers have been so easy to work with and provided a great service – they are responsive, reliable and nothing is too much trouble. They managed to deliver almost 800 parcels across Merseyside / Manchester in just a few days which was no mean feat! Thank you Michelle, Kelvin and team!
