Well, put simply, it means that we collect a consignment at quick notice and take it directly to the delivery point as quickly as possible. Our same day delivery courier service is one of the core things that we do at CK. This blog post will explain in more depth the kind of things that we deliver and how exactly we do it.
The Process
A typical same day delivery often happens because of an urgent need to move something from one place to another. A customer will call us to ask if we can deliver a consignment to a certain destination as quickly as possible. We then dispatch a vehicle to the pick up point and collection is typically made within the hour. Once the driver has the goods safely on board, they proceed directly to the delivery point and do no pass go....though they may collect £200 (or more probably a sandwich). Usually the delivery can be made to anywhere on the UK mainland, provided there is someone at the delivery point to accept the delivery.
The need for a same day delivery can often be quite stressful for the customer, so our team are always on hand to help them through the process and put their minds at ease. A call to us is as good as the problem being solved. We take care of everything, including the following:
Prompt collection, usually within the hour
Safe (insured) carriage of the goods to the delivery point as quickly as possible
Vehicle tracking for accurate updates
Emailed proof of delivery (POD) once their consignment has been safely delivered.
