Hello everyone and Happy New Year. This is not a resolution, as we don't believe in that kind of thing, but we are very much looking to play in to one of our core values this year. Forward Thinking! As the commercial challenges grow in the UK, we believe we need to be on the front foot more so than usual. This means that we will be taking numerous steps to increase brand awareness and attempting to capitalise on the environment of uncertainty.
Reliability is crucial in any supplier, but especially in a supplier that gets your goods and products to your customers. We are already ahead of much of our competition in the fact that we employ our own drivers and operate our own fleet. However also have increased reliability, provided by our extraordinary staff statistics. In 2024, we recorded the following numbers:
Staff sickness rate: 0.8% (compared to a UK average of 2.3%)
Staff retention: 93% (compared to a UK average of 66%)
Impressive stuff, if we may say so ourselves!
December Employee of the Month
As we are not a traditional parcel carrier, December is actually our quietest month of the year. Well apart from the first couple of weeks which can be hectic. Our top drivers for the month were Gareth Fenney, followed by Darren McCartney in second and Lee Davies in third.
For 2025, we have decided to shake up the way we reward staff. There will no longer be an employee of the month, but two separate awards per month. These will be awarded to the staff member with the best driver score on a random day, or to a member of staff who is deemed to have achieved something impressive.
